ANNA ANTOINE

DANCE PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Anna was born in the south of France, where she danced from a young age with classical ballet being her favourite discipline. Despite no longer dancing herself, Anna is still very passionate about the art form, choosing to channel that passion in the form of keeping dancers healthy, and at the highest level.

She completed her Physiotherapy degree at Curtin University and since has undergone additional training in dry needling. Anna has a particular interest in injury prevention and women’s health, which, during her studies, has led her to undergo a research project on “RED-S” in dancers. This involved studying the links between the unique needs of the female body, nutrition, dancing, and the subsequent rates of injuries. Because of this, Anna is also currently completing a diploma of nutrition in order to best advise her patients.

Overall, Anna loves treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, with a bias towards the knee, ankle and low back. She has a strong focus on exercise rehabilitation but also believes in a holistic approach to physiotherapy. This includes a lot of education and addressing factors outside the dance studio!

In her spare time Anna loves cooking and sharing her newest recipes with her family and friends.
